Traffic control centers typically monitor traffic congestion, flow and safety and report on problems or react after the fact if appropriate. This is all done manually and in real-time with staff members monitoring live video. Longer term studies and specific analysis are done on an ad-hoc basis and are not integrated with the rest of the command center.

The platform can use any of the video resources attached to the traffic control center camera network for analysis. Captured video is only needs to be retained until the analysis is completed and then can be discarded or archived based on the retention policies of the traffic control center.
